•      People from Cherry hate dogs. There are no dogs left in Cherry, only cats and canaries. Pets are very rare to have in Barken. In fact, one of the most often vandalised places in Cherry is the pet store.

•      Intense emotion will trigger partial shifts, such as ocular or dental distortion (eye or tooth changes).  For instance, a pissed off or excited Barkener's canine teeth might suddenly extend suddenly, or the  irises might flood into the white of the eye. The effects are negated once the shifter calms down. :) The  more passionate and excited the mood, the quicker into shift they'll unconsciously go. The longer the  person remains agitated, the further into shift they'll go. the uncontrolled physical instability is usually  gone once the Barkener realises what's happening.

•      Shifting is controllable down to minute things like individual hairs, organs, and so on. Mastering  control takes a couple of days to get the hold of at the most for the majority of residents.

•      Drug use, strangely, doesn't affect the shapeshifting as opposed to loosening control of it or inhibiting  it altogether. Stoned dudes, however, are more likely to get experimental with morphing than sober  folk.

•      Cherry is convinced that Barken are a Satanic cult, but keep their mouths shut about it.

•      Barken's location is somewhere along Highway 45.

•      Back in the days of old, Barken and Cherry were forever at war. If you're into writing more gruesome  stories, this is the period you might want to focus on. :) Barken was wiped out and resettled at least  eight times between its settlement in the mid-1850s and the 1960s - suffice to say that widespread law  enforcement came into effect circa the 1960s and the monthly genocide’s from Cherry stopped for long  enough so that Barken could be rebuilt. There are no remaining relics from Barken's original planning,  with the possible exception of some of the trees and streets.

•      Cherry are all devout Baptists.

•      There is a sign 5 miles north of Cherry saying 'Barken - Demon Town - 666 miles'. Obviously  someone thought this idea was cool because there is another sign between Cherry and Barken saying  'Barken - 666 miles'

•      Cherry is a far larger town than Barken. :)

•      Cherry hacks for Barken residents include 'mutts', 'puppies', and 'fleabags'. People who use these  insults are more intent on putting down Barken people as opposed to killing them, and so are the lesser  of many evildoers.

•      Bitches in heat can't shift. (Someone simply insisted that I put this in or I'd never hear the end of it.)
